It looked to me like the locks were those annoying deadbolts that require
you to have the key to lock/unlock from the inside as well as the outside.
Regardless, I agree that Shelly seemed too helpless.


P.S. Was that Leo's patented soap-in-a-sock that he tossed at Shelly's
feet?  If it was, why did he do that?
